The Pyrgos Tower Complex consists of three distinctive towers — Hawk Tower, God’s View Tower, and Rubeas Tower — each telling its own timeless story. Here, guests don’t just stay; they connect, they feel, they immerse themselves in the authentic spirit of Mani.

Hawk Tower

Hawk Tower

The first of the complex, Hawk Tower is a striking example of traditional Maniot architecture blended with modern touches. Built around 1868 in the village of Pyrgos, it stands tall and proud, bearing the strength of its past and the pride of local identity. The tower comprises two independent units, each with a distinct character.

God’s View Tower

This tower earned its name for a reason. Built circa 1868 at one of the highest points of the complex, God’s View offers sweeping, unobstructed vistas — from the dramatic cliffs of Mani to the endless blue sea. Despite its solid, imposing form, it exudes serenity, inviting guests to witness the world from above, where stone meets light.

Includes 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with free toiletries and hairdryer, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, and a spacious living room with two sofas that convert into beds. The private terrace features a Jacuzzi for two.

Rubeas Towers

Rubeas Tower

The most enigmatic and historically rich tower of the complex, Rubeas Tower is nestled on the hills of Lefktro in the heart of Mani. Its name traces back to the 13th century, when Prince William of Villehardouin built a series of fortresses in the region — among them the famed Cisterna Rubea. The name may derive from the reddish hue of its stones or the precious crimson marble once adorning its halls. Over the centuries, the toponym Rubeas gradually evolved into a surname, giving its name to a distinguished historical family.

 

By the 1860s, descendants of the Rubeas family, inspired by their ancestral fortress, built what is now Rubeas Tower — a quintessential Maniot structure and a monument of family heritage and regional legacy. It now houses two residences: Rubeas 1 and Rubeas 2.
